The Château de Saint-Loup in France has luxurious overnight and weekly accommodations, guided tours and sumptuous entertainment for guests of your large weddings, receptions, seminars and other special occasions. As a jewel of France's architectural heritage, the castle is a perfect setting for enchanting vacations, weekend outings, romantic honeymoons, marriages and other events.
The keep and the castle are surrounded by an enchanting water-filled moat.
The Keep has chambre d'hôte (bed and breakfast) accommodations in medieval style, many rooms complete with four-poster beds, complete use of the fully-equipped kitchen, the grand dining room and the salon.
There are also eight stately guest rooms in the main castle of Saint Loup for bed and breakfast accommodations.
Ten rooms are currently in renovation to be ready for spring 2008 in the Ménagerie.
Weddings, Receptions and Seminars
Château de Saint-Loup is a dream come true for all occasions: weddings, receptions, conferences, seminars, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries and birthdays.
Events facilities at the Saint-Loup Castle include: the orangery, grounds surrounding the dovecot, heated and air-conditioned events pavilion for up to 250 seated guests and catering kitchen.
Since the Middle Ages the castle has had an elaborate ornamental potager (vegetable garden). It was enhanced in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries through the creation of wooded parkland and sumptuous gardens.
The grounds have undergone a complete restoration program for the pleasure of all. The château, park and gardens have been faithfully recreated as they were in the middle of the eighteenth century, based on detailed plans dating from that period.
The Château de Saint-Loup is a jewel of France's architectural heritage and an important site in the history of the region of Poitou. Its present owner is Count Charles-Henri de Bartillat.
